Buy Love was never Mine...

"It's said that if you want something wholeheartedly, the universe conspires to bring it to you."

Rahul, a fresh graduate with simple dreams and an uncluttered outlook towards life, falls in love with a confident, sassy, helpful, sweet yet materialistic girl, Shreya, who shares the workspace with him. For Shreya, looks are a priority and everything else comes later. For Rahul, looks are secondary, what matters is the soul of a person.

With his boy-next-door looks, he does not stand a chance with Shreya and he knows that. But he is still confident he would be able to win her love, because he firmly believes in himself and the universe. This book follows Rahul's sacrificial and emotional voyage to win Shreya's love. Will Shreya ever realise the enormous amount of unconditional love blossoming inside Rahul? Will love eventually find its destiny?

Sometimes, the universe may not pay heed to your desires, sometimes, it just may.

Set in the backdrop of a corporate set-up, the story swiftly explores different human emotions such as love, pain, loneliness, betrayal, friendship, etc., somewhere buried deep within all of us.

If you ever fell in Love, this book is for you all; dedicated to the purest thing in the world called "Love".

Book Review - Trapped Wings Open Sky

"Trapped Wings Open Sky...Still I want to fly high..." - the title of the book itself is quite symbolic to attract people to have a look into it. Plus, the cover page complements the title quite aptly. The book is all about the female protagonist Preet and her strong determination to face every odd with an ease.

The story starts on an interesting note, taking us into the past lives of two secondary characters Aman and Komal, which helps the readers connect with their state of mind more precisely thereafter through out the story.

It is woven around NTI, an IT company where Preet starts her corporate career. She starts her corporate career unlike any other fresher with few tender dreams and high aspirations. But when she enters the doors of NTI, she faces the real corporate world filled with the diplomacy of seniors, pressure of targets and humiliation of employees by bosses. In between all this, she tries to take solace from Aman, who at times does not reciprocates the same feelings to her, primarily because of his own past experiences. In between there is this story of Preet's room mates and their on and off relationship with her.

Now coming to the writing style, though the story plot is thin, but then you will not complain as it is quite gripping. You don't feel bored by the narration till the end. But, I wish author could have used the picturization of the characters, that ways readers could find themselves more connected with both the characters as well as the story. Even it could be improved a bit in terms of the details of the scenes in th narration. The editing is shaky at times, but that could be attributed mostly to the publishers. I liked the use of hindi words by Jamal Bhai at times such as "Madam Ji".

In all, a short (150 pages) and gripping narrative book which can be quickly finished in 3-4 hours, and which keeps the readers hooked to it. If you like to read a light book depicting the finer line between dreams and reality, and a brave girl swinging in between; go for this one.

About "Book Reviews Redefined"

A novel and most importantly the first novel always has the writer's soul in it.

From conceptualizing a plot to finalizing the complete script and getting it published, its a long, tedious and tiring journey for a writer.

Even after that the authors who have written an excellent stuff but unable to engage a proper PR, fail in letting the genuineness and the essense of the book reaching out to masses.

Book Reviews are an effective medium to let people know about the general feedback of a book. It gives the potential readers an idea whether the book is as per their reading taste, and whether they will enjoy reading it.

But, contrary to normal book reviews; I believe it is unfair on a reviewer's part to ask a complementary copy of the book from the writer to review it. A writer has devoted so much of time and effort and thus it becomes necessary for him/her to make every book sales counted.

To overcome this, we have started a new revolutionary concept in book reviews.

We invite the following information about your book:

1. Synopsis
2. Theme of the book (what you wish to communicate through the book)
3. How you have communicated it in the book (your understanding)
4. Cover page
5. An excerpt from the book (3-5 pages)

Each month, we will be selecting 4 best books out of the total responses received and will be reviewing it after properly buying it from the physical bookstores or online bookstores (wherever the book is available).

This will definitely help you in letting your book getting proper respect by us, and help us giving quality reviews about your books. For all the readers, this will be the place where they will get to know the best books as per our choice and the reviews about the same.

We hope to get a tremendous support by you all to make this blog a success.
